Overview
PourNote is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your drinking habits are personal — and your data should reflect that. This policy explains what data PourNote collects, how it is stored, and what choices you have.
Data Storage
All data you enter into PourNote — including drink logs, photos, spending records, and personal notes — is stored locally on your device. PourNote does not upload your entries to any external server. Your data does not leave your device unless you explicitly choose to share or export it.
No Account Required
PourNote does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app. There is no registration process. You download the app and start logging — that's it.
What We Don't Collect
We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number through the app. We do not track your precise location. We do not access your contacts, calendar, or other personal data. We do not use advertising SDKs or sell data to third parties. Our product analytics never include drink names, notes, photos, or raw spending amounts.
Photos
When you add a photo to a drink entry, the image is stored locally alongside your entry data. PourNote only accesses your camera or photo library when you explicitly choose to attach a photo. We do not process, upload, or analyze your images on any server.
Third-Party Services
PourNote does not use third-party advertising services. PourNote uses Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics) for aggregate product analytics: events we send are limited to a fixed list of categories (drink type, whether an entry has a photo, paywall source, share source) and never include drink names, notes, photos, precise locations, or raw spending amounts. Firebase records a pseudonymous app-instance identifier and a coarse country derived from a masked IP address; this identifier is not linked to your name or any account. PourNote may contact Frankfurter to refresh exchange rates; these requests do not include your drink entries, photos, notes, or spending details. If you use PourNote Pro, purchases and subscription status are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives subscription-related identifiers and purchase status only; your drink entries, photos, notes, and spending details are not sent to RevenueCat. The pournote.cc website also uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights for aggregate website traffic and performance metrics such as viewed pages, referrers, visitor country, browser, device type, operating system, route/URL, network speed, and Web Vitals measurements; website analytics and performance metrics do not include drink entries, photos, notes, or spending details.
International Data Transfers
Firebase analytics events are processed by Google on its global infrastructure and may be stored or processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence, including the United States. RevenueCat similarly processes subscription identifiers on its global infrastructure. We do not transfer drink entries, photos, notes, or spending details to any party. By using PourNote you acknowledge that the limited analytics and subscription identifiers described above may cross borders for processing. Vercel may process website analytics and performance metrics on its infrastructure for the limited website data described above.
Data Deletion
You can delete individual entries at any time from within the app. Uninstalling PourNote removes locally stored app data from your device. Because we do not keep a server copy of your data, we cannot restore entries that were deleted or removed from a device without a backup.
Your Rights
Because PourNote is local-first and does not require an account, you exercise most data rights directly: you control what to log, what to share, and when to delete. Where applicable law (such as the EU GDPR or California CCPA) grants you additional rights — including access, deletion, correction, restriction, or data portability for any limited information we may process — you can exercise them by contacting caoqin.dev@gmail.com. We will respond within the time required by the law that applies to you.
Children
PourNote is not intended for use by anyone under the legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
